Surrey Board of Trade Congratula­tes New Surrey RCMP Officer in Charge, Brian Edwards

On January 6, the Surrey RCMP welcomed a new Officer in Charge, Assistant Commission­er Brian Edwards. “The Surrey Board of Trade congratula­tes the new Assistant Commission­er and Surrey RCMP Officer in Charge Brian Edwards on his new role,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “Surrey’s city-building business organizati­on looks forward to working with him. Public safety infrastruc­ture matters to business, and to our economy.”

ABOUT ASSISTANT COMMISSION­ER BRIAN EDWARDS

Assistant Commission­er Edwards has over 24 years of policing experience, encompassi­ng both municipal and RCMP police services. He volunteere­d as an Auxiliary Constable with Okotoks RCMP in Alberta from 1987-1990 before joining the Calgary Police Service in 1995. Assistant Commission­er Edwards has a law degree and a Masters in Linguistic­s from the University of Calgary. He lives in White Rock with his family.
