Mothers fourth annual and daughters Cause We were Care all Mother’s smiles at Day the Luncheon, presented by Capital Direct, in support of single mothers in Vancouver. Guests dined on roasted-beet salad, chicken with charred leeks and risotto at Parq Vancouver’s Victor restaurant, and the event brought in nearly $100,000 to fund child care, education and job training for mothers.
Hundreds Vancouver of Art art Gallery enthusiasts Auction, gathered where for some the fierce bidding took place on nearly 40 artworks donated by artists, private galleries and collectors. Jeff Wall’s Man in Street made the night’s biggest sale, contributing $200,000 to the more than $1 million that was raised for gallery exhibitions, education and public programs.
