Tyler Wayne Veriker, 27, of Saint John, New Brunswick, has been handed a conditiona­l discharge with probation for committing an assault.

Veriker changed his plea to guilty on Jan. 14. Judge Alan Tufts handed Veriker a conditiona­l discharge with nine months of probation and fined him $50 victim.

Veriker committed the offence Wolfville on Oct. 19, 2013.

Failed to comply with undertakin­g

Nicholas Joel Croft, 35, of Kentville, has been fined for failing to comply with his undertakin­g.

Croft pleaded guilty to the charge on Jan. 12 and was fined $195.

Croft committed the offence Kentville on Oct. 10, 2014.

Jail, conditiona­l sentence

Raylene Rose Mahaney, 22, of Canning, was in provincial court in Kentville on Jan. 8 facing 11 charges, some dating back to Feb. 23, 2012 and others as recent as Jan. 5, 2015.

She entered guilty pleas on five of the charges, which include failing to obey conditions, theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen goods.

Mahaney is serving a sentence of 26 days in jail, as well as a conditiona­l sentence of 60 days and 15 months of probation.

The charges were laid as a result of incidents in Kentville, Berwick, New Minas and Canning.

Charge stayed

Trevor St. Elmo Reid, 23, of North Kentville, had a charge of break and enter stayed on Jan. 8 under section 579 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was charged in Kentville as a result of an incident on Aug. 15, 2014.

Fined for production Conditiona­l discharge for assault

in Charlene Kelly, 62, of South Alton, was fined $650 for the production of cannabis in provincial court on Jan. 8.

She was handed 18 months probation, a 10-year firearms prohibitio­n and an equipment forfeiture under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
