Harvest Gallery in Wolfville presents PRESS, the eighth annual exhibition showcasing the work of select Nova Scotia Printmaker­s.

Explore new work from Bonnie Baker, Alex Colville, Cecil Day, Bob Hainstock, Kristiina Lehtonen, John Neville, Steven Rhude, Kath Kornelsen Rutherford, Robert Rutherford and Anna Syperek.

The show runs until March 13.

Musical tribute planned

A special celebratio­n of George Jones and Tammy Wynette will be held May 23 at the Kentville Centennial Arena. Nashville legend Sammy Kershaw is touring, along with Brian Mallery and Georgette Jones.

History and fiction

How does one go from being a historian to a historical fiction novelist?

A. J. B. ( John) Johnston has been a historian at the Fortress of Louisbourg for 23 years, focusing on French Colonial history in Atlantic Canada. John- ston has gone on to write the Thomas Pichon quartet of historical fictional novels about 18th-century France, Eng- land and Atlantic Canada.

Johnston will give a public presentati­on entitled History and Fiction on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in room 132 of the Beveridge Arts Centre at Acadia University.

Broken Leg Theatre

The latest Broken Leg Theatre show is coming up on Feb. 21 in Wolfville.

Broken Leg Theatre is a theatrical variety show that happens three times a year. The next show is Feb. 21, 8 p.m., at Acadia Cinema’s Al Whittle Theatre.

The Feb. 21 line up includes the Dead Sheep Scrolls, Andy Flinn, Donna Holmes, Dorian Dance, Caravan Theatre, Micaela Comeau’s Tap Dancers and more.

Concert at Mermaid

The Mermaid Imperial Performing Arts Centre in Windsor will present Old Man Luedecke & The Good Lovelies on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

Based in Chester, Old Man Luedecke is an award-winning roots singer-songwriter who performs with skillful precision and a storytelle­r’s heart. His narrative-driven folk songs are playful, coy and soul-warming.
