Annapolis River Festival draws rave reviews
Corner Community College won the championship. Acadian Seaplants was second while Michelin was third.
Premier Stephen McNeil was there as well, and along with Qualtrough handed out canoepaddle-shaped trophies at the end of the day. And West Nova MP Colin Fraser took in some of the festivities as well.
The weather was hot and humid, but that didn’t stop 15 teams from competing in the dragon boat races, canoe sprint race, and canoe obstacle race and canoe portage. And it didn’t halt the guided tours of the river, or people enjoying food and entertainment throughout the day.
The Canoe and Kayak Exhibition tent was backed with water craft, and several experts doing demonstrations.
