Kings County residents involved in head-on collision
MEISNER SECTION – No serious injuries were reported from a head-on collision in Kings County.
At 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, two women from Kings County were involved in a head-on collision that occurred on Highway 10 in Lunenburg County.
Lunenburg District RCMP responded after a Toyota Corolla was travelling northbound collided head- on with a Honda Civic that was travelling southbound.
The driver of the Corolla, a 29-year- old man from Cherryfield, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Civic, a 28-year-old woman from Baxter’s Harbour, also sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to South Shore Regional Hospital.
A 27-year-old female passenger from Chipman Brook, who was travelling in the Civic, was airlifted to Halifax by LifeFlight with serious injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst assisted with the investigation. No further details available at press time.
