Kings County residents involved in head-on collision

MEISNER SECTION – No serious injuries were reported from a head-on collision in Kings County.

At 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, two women from Kings County were involved in a head-on collision that occurred on Highway 10 in Lunenburg County.

Lunenburg District RCMP responded after a Toyota Corolla was travelling northbound collided head- on with a Honda Civic that was travelling southbound.

The driver of the Corolla, a 29-year- old man from Cherryfiel­d, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Civic, a 28-year-old woman from Baxter’s Harbour, also sustained minor injuries. Both were transporte­d to South Shore Regional Hospital.

A 27-year-old female passenger from Chipman Brook, who was travelling in the Civic, was airlifted to Halifax by LifeFlight with serious injuries.

An RCMP collision analyst assisted with the investigat­ion. No further details available at press time.
