Painting with Fibre workshop offers unique creations

- WOLFVILLE

It was a chance to learn how to create beautiful images using various fibres and lots of creativity.

As part of the Uncommon Common Art initiative, artist Sanna Rahola hosted a workshop called Painting with Fibre at Acadia University’s K.C. Irving Centre in Wolfville on Aug. 14.

Participants learned how to layer different coloured fibres in a similar manner as layering paint. Raw fibres such as silk, mohair and linen are used for accent, reflecting light and adding depth and texture.
