Consuming alcohol breached conditions

Jason Anthony Paul Agius, 33, of Kentville was sentenced to a day in custody after he entered a guilty plea to breaching conditions by consuming alcohol.

Agius was charged after an incident in Kentville on Jan. 25 and he appeared in provincial court on Jan. 26. ***

Breaching his conditions

Jeffrey Allen Graves, 42, of Waterville was sentenced to 30 days in custody served consecutiv­ely with any time currently being served for breaching his conditions.

Graves was apprehende­d Jan. 20 in New Minas and later entered a guilty plea.

Time added to Parsons’ sentence

A current resident of the Central Nova Correction Facility, Dylon Doug Parsons, 23, also known as Lyons, will be serving more time behind bars. Parsons entered guilty pleas to three charges of breaching conditions and was found guilty of driving while disqualifi­ed.

The charges date back to between Jan. 7 and March 2, 2016 in Kentville and Greenwich. He had an additional four months and 15 days added to his sentence.

Parsons was also sentenced to a two-year driving prohibitio­n.

Pineo faced sex, unlawful confinemen­t charges

Earl Mark Pineo, 47, of Upper Burlington, was found not guilty to five sex-related charges and a charge of unlawful confinemen­t in provincial court Jan. 30.

Pineo is charged with two counts of sexual assault; inciting a person under the age of 16 to touch his body with her hand for a sexual purpose; three counts of sexual touching involving a person under age 16 and unlawful confinemen­t.

It was alleged Pineo committed the offences in Burlington and Falmouth between Jan. 1, 2006, and Dec. 31, 2013.

Sentenced on one sex-related charge

A former Avonport man facing six sex-related charges involving an underage girl has been sentenced on one charge of sexual touching.

Robin Lee Spidle, 25, was in Kentville provincial court Jan. 30 after he entered one guilty plea. Spidle, who now lives on Mountain Front, was sentenced to a 90 day intermitte­nt sentence, probation until the sentence is complete, 12 months further probation, a listing under the Sexual Offender Informatio­n Registrati­on Act, and a required DNA sample,

Spidle had five sex-related charges dismissed. Those charges stemmed from incidents alleged to have occurred in Avonport between Jan. 1 and May 14, 2015. A publicatio­n ban was imposed to protect the identity of the alleged victim.

He was also fined $390 after pleading guilty to a charge of failure to comply with conditions.
