Drug possession sends North Kentville man to jail
A North Kentville man was sentenced to two years in custody following the seizure last fall of prescription pills and cash during an incident on Cornwallis Street in Kentville.
Ricky Willie Lee Bezanson, 46, entered guilty pleas in Kentville provincial court on March 23 on charges of possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking and conspiring to commit an indictable offense.
A drug investigation, conducted Oct. 26, resulted in two arrests. Bezanson and Michael Ross, a 25-year-old New Minas resident.
The attending officers seized the pills and cash found during the investigation, which was conducted by the Kentville Police and Kings Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
Bezanson was also sentenced to a 12-year firearms ban.
