Wouldn’t it be amazing to travel to China, a land of exotic heritage and magnificent landscapes?

With the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce’s trip to China, local businesspeople have the chance to do just that.

Executive director Judy Rafuse says the AVCC is offering Valley residents and chamber members a chance to see and tour places such as Shanghai this fall from Oct. 22 until Nov. 2.

This trip, unlike last year’s 11day visit, will be a 12-day trip covering over most of China’s major travel destinations, including five days in Beijing, Shanghai, and Suzhou/hangzhou, with a possible bonus destination.

To obtain a spot on this trip it will cost $2,299 for chamber members and just $100 more – or $2,399 - for non-members of all ages.

While this trip is purely recreational, there is a business conference option if one chooses to participate, she added.

This marks the second year the AVCC has offered this trip and, according to Rafuse, the 25 non-business vacationers enjoyed it greatly.

“The people in the past had no negative feedback,” she said. And she’s right - the 2016 trip earned positive comments from attendees such as chamber members Mark Vardy and Dave Ritcey, who say they loved the hotels, friendly tour guides and magnificent tours.

Like the last event, this fall’s trip is all-inclusive and includes four- to five-star hotels, three meals each day, a deluxe bus tour and tour guides who will be fluent in English.

Anyone interested in attending this trip can attend an orientation meeting at the Old Orchard Inn in Wolfville on April 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For more information, call Rafuse at 902-678-4634.
