Eight mem­bers of the ACW met at the home of Lynn Spicer, Har­bourville, ear­lier this month for a potluck lunch. The start-up meet­ing fol­lowed. The main item on the agenda was mak­ing prepa­ra­tions to cater to the Ma­sons’ sup­per on Sept. 29. A re­gional meet­ing will be held a lit­tle later.


Mem­bers of St. Eu­dora Re­bekah Lodge gath­ered re­cently. There was some dis­cus­sion on events com­ing up. On Oct. 7 there will be a tur­key sup­per. A tea will be held on Oct. 28. There will be rep­re­sen­ta­tives there from the autism and SPCA or­ga­ni­za­tions. These two groups will be the re­cip­i­ents of pro­ceeds from the pres­i­dent’s project this past year.

Look­ing a lit­tle fur­ther down the road, a ticket auc­tion will be held Nov. 18.

These three events are open to the pub­lic. The mem­bers and in­vited guests Christ­mas party will be held Dec. 6 start­ing at 1:30 p.m.


There were five ta­bles of 45s in play at the Re­bekah Hall, Sept. 9. Prizewin­ners were first, Rosanne Kaizer; sec­ond, Grace Lutz; third, Ger­tie Smith; fourth, Roxie Red­den; door prize, Ger­tie Smith and the 50/50 was won by Shirley Jones.
