Eight members of the ACW met at the home of Lynn Spicer, Harbourvil­le, earlier this month for a potluck lunch. The start-up meeting followed. The main item on the agenda was making preparatio­ns to cater to the Masons’ supper on Sept. 29. A regional meeting will be held a little later.

Members of St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge gathered recently. There was some discussion on events coming up. On Oct. 7 there will be a turkey supper. A tea will be held on Oct. 28. There will be representa­tives there from the autism and SPCA organizati­ons. These two groups will be the recipients of proceeds from the president’s project this past year.

Looking a little further down the road, a ticket auction will be held Nov. 18.

These three events are open to the public. The members and invited guests Christmas party will be held Dec. 6 starting at 1:30 p.m.

There were five tables of 45s in play at the Rebekah Hall, Sept. 9. Prizewinne­rs were first, Rosanne Kaizer; second, Grace Lutz; third, Gertie Smith; fourth, Roxie Redden; door prize, Gertie Smith and the 50/50 was won by Shirley Jones.
