• Music Variety Show - 7 p.m. at the White Rock Community Hall, 7 p.m. Admission by freewill offering

• 45s Card Party - Canning Seniors Club, at the Canning Lions Hall, doors open 1 p.m., games start at 1:30 p.m. Admission $2, prizes and refreshmen­ts, 50/50.

• Hymn Sing Sunday - 7 p.m. at The Forest Hill Baptist Church. Special guest John Keddy and Sweet Soul. Rev. Manthorne will lead the hymn sing. Refreshmen­ts will be served.

• Market & Café – at the Black River Community Hall, 989 Deep Hollow Rd. 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Shop and eat, local produce (in season), paintings, baked goods, crafts and much more. Lunch $7, table $5 Call Reta 902-542-1552+

• Concert - Matt Lunn and Echo Mountain in concert at the Ardoise Community Center, May 27. 2-4 p.m., $7 per person. Come listen to the band showcase their Summer Festival lineup. Door prizes, 50/50 and canteen.

• Chase the Ace —6-7:30 p.m. at Paddy’s Pub (second floor), in Kentville, on Monday evenings. Tickets cost three for $5, 12 for $10 and 30 for $20. Hosted by Valley Cheer Athletics.

• Toastmaste­rs - meet every Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the K.C. Irving Science Centre in the Acadian Board Room.

• Riptide Rollers - 12 week Learn to Skate roller derby program at the Credit Union Centre. Cost is $95/person + $30 insurance. Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. weekly. All skill levels welcome, including first time skaters. Mouthguard is required, available to purchase $4, or bring your own.
