• Fundraiser - The Valley WAAG Animal Shelter will hold its annual plant sale, 8 a.m.-noon, at 36 Elm St., Jefferson Pines Subdivisio­n, Meadowvale. All proceeds go directly to the animal shelter. Info: 765-6629

• Gospel Music Concert at 7 p.m. at the Inglisvill­e Baptist Church, Sunday, May 27. Featuring Franck Spinney, Frank Dobbin, and Graham Moorehead.

• An Afternoon of Music featuring ‘Gospel Lights’ will be held Sunday, May 27 at Springfiel­d United Baptist Church at 3 p.m. A social time will follow. Everyone welcome.

• The Fireflies Luncheon on Tuesday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Middleton Fire Hall will feature your choice of ham and cheese quiche or chicken and broccoli quiche at $10. each. Also available will be corn chowder and split pea/ ham soup at $9 each. Desserts will be ‘almost’ Black Forest cake and rhubarb crisp. • Bridgetown Regional Community School Drama Club presents Beauty is the Beast by Doug Larson June 1, 2 and 3. In this enchanting fairy tale, students from Grades 6 to 12 teach an important life lesson as to where one finds true beauty and just how important it is. Children and adults alike are welcome to spend an hour or so with the BRCS actors as they present the inaugural drama production in the new school. Admission $5 per person. Show Friday, June 1 at 7 p.m., and shows Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 at 2 p.m.
