Pro­vin­cial bike race is this week­end in An­napo­lis County

An­napo­lis County’s an­nual Bike Week con­cludes with Bi­cy­cle Nova Sco­tia’s pro­vin­cial cham­pi­onship road race, and or­ga­niz­ers are hop­ing mo­torists will watch out for par­tic­i­pants.

The event is or­ga­nized by Road­ents Com­pet­i­tive Cy­cling based in Brick­ton - or­ga­niz­ers of ‘Tour de Keji,’ win­ner of Bi­cy­cle Nova Sco­tia’s Race of the Year award in 2017.

Routes:

- Groups 1 and 2: 93 km, An­napo­lis Royal to Mid­dle­ton on High­way 1 and back to An­napo­lis Royal on High­way 201

- Groups 3 and 4: 46 km, An­napo­lis Royal to Bridgetown on High­way 1 and back to An­napo­lis Royal on High­way 201

- Group 5 (ju­niors): 21 km, Bridgetown to An­napo­lis Royal on High­way 201

* Start line at Mu­nic­i­pal Build­ing at 752 St. Ge­orge Street, An­napo­lis Royal

10 a.m. - Wel­come messages to cy­clists by com­mu­nity rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of the County of An­napo­lis; Town of An­napo­lis Royal; Vil­lage of Lawrence­town; Town of Mid­dle­ton

10:30 a.m. - First group starts (Mu­nic­i­pal Build­ing)

10:35 a.m. - Last group starts (Mu­nic­i­pal Build­ing)

11:45 a.m. - First rid­ers cross fin­ish line (Tom’s Pizze­ria, Le­qui­lle)

1:45 p.m. - Last rid­ers cross fin­ish line (Tom’s Pizze­ria, Le­qui­lle)

2 p.m. - Award cer­e­mony (Mu­nic­i­pal Build­ing)
