Fioretti signs with South Carolina Stingrays

Acadia alum will begin professional career with team affiliated with Washington Capitals

An Acadia hockey alumni has inked a deal with the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals for next season.

Forward Sam Fioretti will play with the South Carolina Stingrays, out of North Charleston, for the 2018-2019 season. The Stingrays are also affiliated with the AHL’S Hershey Bears.

Fioretti, a Calgary native, spent the past four years at Acadia following four seasons with the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League.
