David Myles on stage for golf-tee-up concert at King’s Theatre

-

King’s Theatre kicks off the 10th annual Tournament of King’s with the ECMA and Junowinning audience favourite, David Myles Friday, Sept. 7.

“We’re especially excited to host Myles and his trio back at King’s this year, as guitarist Alan Jeffries now calls Annapolis Royal home,” said King’s Theatre general manager Janet Larkman. “Myles will be performing later this month with Symphony Nova Scotia, but for many fans nothing beats seeing him in the intimacy of a theatre like King’s.”

“Nattily dressed in a suit and tie, wearing his trademark specs, Myles looks like Buddy Holly transposed to an afterhours supper club. But his music conveys a populist appeal that leaves no one lacking” says the magazine No Depression.

The concert, sponsored by Just-us, is the tee-up event for the Tournament of King’s, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the new Fort View Golf Course.

“It’s one of most popular golf tournies in the Valley,” said tournament chairman John Bottomley. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of our business community, the swag bags are full of goodies and everyone gets a prize. And whoever pulls off a hole-in-one on the 9th is looking at a two-year lease on a 2018 Ford Mustang.”

Join celebrity golfer Don Connelly, former CBC radio host, for a fun day of golf. A special thanks to Annapolis Home Hardware, who has returned this year as event sponsor.

To register a team or buy tickets to the concert, call the box office at 902-532-7704, or visit kingstheatre.ca.
