• Craft and Vendor Sale — The Kentville Lions are having a craft and vendor sale at 78 River St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission: $2.

• “Simply Christmas” Tea and Sale — The Lola B. Eaton Auxiliary of the Pereaux Baptist Church will hold a tea and sale from 2-4 p.m. in the church vestry. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., tea will be served at 2 p.m. A bake table and silent auction will be featured. Adults: $7; children six to 12 years: $3.50; youth five years and under: free.

• Christmas Auction — At the L.E. Shaw Elementary School in Avonport at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Canteen facilities available, everything Christmas. A draw will be made on a door prize; must be present to claim. Proceeds for the West Brooklyn Baptist Church.

• Karaoke — At the Canning Legion from 5-10 p.m., with Sonya Hill, in the downstairs lounge. Adults only. Cover charge at the door.

• Christmas Coffee Party and Sale — At the Kings Presbyteri­an Church, 5563 Prospect Rd., New Minas, from 10 a.m. until noon. Delectable goodies, tea and coffee, and craft and bake tables. A freewill offering will be collected. Prepared by the Presbyteri­an Church Women.

• Dance — At the Kentville Legion starting at 9 p.m. Cost:

$8; adults only. Music by Lady Rogue. Bar and kitchen available. • 80s Dance Party —At the Louis Millet Community Centre, in New Minas, from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Advance tickets: $5. Come dressed in the fashion of the 1980s for $5, or $7 without a costume. DJ and light show by Chris Young. There will be a door prize, spot dance prize, best dressed individual, best dressed couple. Canteen and cash bar will be available. There will also be 50/50 tickets. Proceeds to Sharon McInnis vehicle’s needs for her wheelchair.

• Silent Auction with Live Music — At the New Hope Wesleyan Church, 7054 Highway 12, in Kentville from 7-9 p.m. Refreshmen­ts served.

• Washer Toss Tournament — At the Kentville Legion starting at 11 a.m. sharp. Cost: $25 per team; $2 double pipe. Sign up sheet at Kentville Legion.

• Big Breakfast — From 8-10 a.m. at the Wolfville legion.

• Santa Breakfast — At the Berwick Legion from 9:3011:30 a.m. Freewill offering in support of the Berwick and District Nursery School.

• Celtic Spirituali­ty Workshop — Topic: ‘How to be a Celtic Christian Today.’ This workshop will be held at the Kingston United Church, 733 Main St., Kingston. It will be led by Rev. Tea — This annual event will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Ortona Branch 69, Main Street in Berwick.
