OFFICE SPACE

After 30 years in business, AG Hair has a new building in Coquitlam with room for everyone

AG Hair's stylish new digs offer plenty of room for 100 staff

Hairstylist John Davis and marketer Lotte Davis launched what was originally called Advance Group Professional Hair Care Products from their North Vancouver home in 1989 to make products with natural ingredients that are gentle on hair. The company, certified GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) by Health Canada, now manufactures 75 items, with part of the proceeds supporting its One Girl Can charity, which provides education to young women in Africa.

Before moving into a new 70,000-square-foot head office and production facility in August 2018, the 100 AG Hair staff had been housed in two separate buildings. Consulted on the new space by the founders, employees had two wishes: a light environmental footprint and an inspiring, motivating workspace. SSDG Interiors executed the vision. “It's clean and very simple,” Lotte Davis notes, “and they managed to get everything on our wish list done.”
