Durabuilt Windows & Doors
Durabuilt Windows & Doors grew from a small window and door shop to become one of the largest privately held manufacturing companies in western Canada. How did they do it? Put simply, with a customerfocused attitude, hard work, and a shared passion for their products.
The winner of multiple accolades over the past many years, President Harry Sunner is the first to admit that their story is an exciting one. One shared by a talented and dedicated team who took part in shaping a history that spans over twenty-five years of achievements.
Based in Edmonton, Durabuilt has been manufacturing windows and doors for the residential, semi-commercial, and retail markets across the prairie provinces and is known for their innovation. The newest Design Gallery is located right at home.
Hosting 8,000 square feet that shares the dual purpose of corporate office and design gallery, Director of Sales & Marketing Jeff Ward states, “This is a place to have an experience. We have everything you would want to see in a showroom: great products and our unique displays that provide both inspiration and education all under the umbrella of tremendous service. It’s a single source to get answers about anything.”
Featuring large, open spaces with a variety of operational displays, there appears to be a home for everyone that includes the volume builder, consumer replacements, as well as luxury homebuilders, architects, and designers. “We even have a front entry door gallery as people truly identify with our variety of styles that combine with secure function and durability,” shares Ward. “Our fiberglass doors feature a wood door aesthetic that outperforms the original.” The winner of the 2016 SAM award for the most innovative product, their Alpha sliding windows offer easy installation with a triple-pane glazing, which is very unique in a slider, and a monoframe design that is air and water tight,” adds Ward. “We’ve checked off all the concerns that builders shared.”
Featuring a complete brand change and a fresh look and feel, Ward identifies President Harry Sunner as the driving force behind the company. “He has done everything from loading trucks to steering our success in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.”
Citing innovation not just in product, but also in the shared experience and client interaction, Jeff Ward further attests to their operations excellence and connections that sets them apart. “Our DNA is direct business—we want to know you personally.”
