For nearly a quarter century Ecostone Products has provided the enduring beauty of stone. Today, their thin stone veneers are quarried and shaped to match timeless aesthetics with authentic appeal. Ecostone was first a manufacturer of Eldorado Stone, a consumer favourite. “We have moved out of manufacturing but still offer it as it remains the stone of choice for discerning builders,” shares General Manager, Preston Murray.
Ecostone is also a supplier of Erth Coverings, Luxstone, and their own unique line of housebranded manufactured and natural stone veneers at their new location at 4860-35 Street SE in Calgary. “For ease of selection we offer many choices of stone within a single price point so that both builders and homeowners can access a variety of stone from our wall palettes that falls within their budget,” cites Murray. “We do a lot with DIY’S, helping them with all things installation that includes just enough mortar, metal lath, and dyes to complete the job.”
Recognizing a need to adapt and expand their product offering, their newest location allows them to store a larger inventory. They further stock nearly everything they sell, often with same-day pickup, within 18,000 square feet of office and showroom space that is open six days a week and offers an additional two-acre yard for inventory.
“We recently added loose natural stone veneers to our product lineup after seeing an increasing demand and wanted to offer it at a price below market,” explains Murray, noting that their Ecostone natural stone veneers were selected for the Calgary market. Ninety-degree corner stones are cut by hand in all styles with 15 different profiles to choose from. Through an expanded dealer network, both Ecostone lines are available in Lethbridge, Edmonton, and the Okanagan. Ecostone’s lower prices still ensure the same 50-year warranties and authentic appeal.
“People come in with a photo and we can tell you who made it, the name of the stone, and if it’s still available,” admits Murray. “We have the most experienced staff in town.”
