An Award winning family-owned business, for over a decade brothers Raham and Mike Mcilroy of Diamond Valley Custom Homes have offered the quality, versatility, and features of distinction commonly found in their prolific build history.

Committed to providing premium craftsmanship, they have built and maintained a solid reputation with their clientele within Okotoks and the Foothills area. “We specialize in acreage developments where people can explore the type of options that generous lots and their special needs afford,” shares Raham Mcilroy, who with brother Mike caters to a discerning client. “If you can dream it, we can build it!”

“This was the original home on the estate. They have lived here for twenty years and after building their new home decided they wanted to keep it,” explains Mcilroy. With easy maintenance in mind, they gave the home a fresh façade with Douglas fir timber details on the new dormer for visual interest. “They wanted composite board and baton siding that is both attractive, extremely durable, and maintenance free,” adds Mcilroy. A standing seam metal roof further offers resilient weather resistance and a wrap-around deck at the rear of the home hosts optimum sunlight and ample outdoor areas for the enjoyment of a natural landscape.

Also replacing the walkways and driveway, DVC Homes incorporated a concrete float finish with a swirl pattern, providing traction for pedestrians and drivers alike. The modern farmhouse décor features vinyl plank flooring in a barn board aesthetic with extreme durability given the rigours of country living. Dual furnaces also offer separate climate control for main and basement levels.

At entry, bright and engaging living areas are separated by the staircase for visual appeal and room definition. Dual tone, soft-close cabinets craft a compelling kitchen décor with quartz countertops, island breakfast bar seating, and a built-in wine rack. Downstairs, the basement boasts continuous bright styling with recreation and lounge areas, as well as a bedroom, office, cold cellar, and wet bar of consistent quality.

“The home was about fifty years old so we opened up the layout, removed that boxy feel and the clients love it,” admits Mcilroy who takes pride in connecting with their clients throughout the build to ensure total customer satisfaction. “Now they have an additional option for guests.”
