Satisfying a desire for supreme craftsmanship and inimitable style, Legacy Kitchens once again exhibits a standard of design and wow factor that captures the ‘Most Wanted’ in form and function.

Setting the benchmark in premium cabinetry throughout the home, for over 35 years Legacy Kitchens has consistently created the kind of kitchens that draw the eye and family members to the heart of the home.

When disaster strikes, such as a flood from the upstairs bathroom, this main floor was reduced to its studs and Legacy selected to deliver something exceptional from a blank slate. “This home in Altadore required a major renovation and because the homeowners decided to move to BC, they wanted an exceptional décor that offered mass appeal to compete in a difficult real estate market,” shares Design Consultant Michael Burr of Legacy Kitchens.

Transitional styling leans towards more modern features within the open-concept main level. “The kitchen was designed to function for a family, offering abundant storage and accessories,” describes Burr. Mixed countertop surfaces engage a maple butcher block at the breakfast bar end of the island with garbage and recycling pullouts and a paneled bar fridge at its opposite end.

Clear alder, horizontal paneling enhances island charms and the chimney-style hood fan for a modern, linear look. Contrasting quartz clads perimeter and island surfaces with waterfall-edge appeal. Softened Shaker-style door cabinetry in a Cloud White finish complements the décor amidst white ceramic subway tile. Collaborating with renovator Metrik Developments, Legacy Kitchens’ talented team of professionals provided their own brand of exceptional craftsmanship and service.

“We further utilized unused space between the staircase and island, providing a functional work/study area of consistent finishes that aligned well with the angle of the staircase,” notes Burr.

Also affording cutting-edge innovations in their design renderings, Michael adds, “I create 3-D panoramic visuals for my clients, providing an immersive experience that can also be shown through a virtual reality headset. It’s truly disruptive technology and a real game changer, bringing designs to life in ways not seen before.”

“People stick with us because of the relationships we build,” admits Burr. “It comes down to trust—we can deliver what our clients want to achieve.”
