Alaska Upgrades Seats, Adds Power
Alaska Airlines is spending $100 million to upgrade the seats and add power outlets to its Boeing 737-800, -900 and -900ER aircraft. Passengers will be able to fly upgraded aircraft in the fall and the project is slated for completion in the end of 2014.
The new seats are meant to enhance space for passengers, and power outlets will be at every seat. The airline is also considering an enhanced in-flight entertainment system so that customers can watch movies, TV and other programming on any WiFi enabled device.
