Edition was created by the father of boutique hotels, Ian Schrager, in partnership with one of the largest international hotel groups in the world. The brand originally launched its rst property in 2010 in Hawaii, but a dispute with the hotel owner ended that venture. The brand lives on, though, having opened in Istanbul with more hotels planned for Bangkok, London, New York and Miami Beach.
