Hainan Air­lines Launches Miche­lin-starred Chef Menus

Hainan Air­lines has an­nounced the launch of new menus in its“Exclusive Restau­rant on Board”pro­gram. The air­line’s flights de­part­ing from Paris, Ber­lin and Brussels will fea­ture these new menus.

Chefs will also be on board up­com­ing flights to visit with the pas­sen­gers, and have them sam­ple cui­sine as they share sto­ries be­hind the re­search and de­vel­op­ment that went into the cre­ation of the new meals. The air­line plans to con­tinue rolling out new culi­nary cre­ations aboard its new in­ter­na­tional routes when are launched in the fu­ture.

Star­wood Ho­tels & Re­sorts World­wide has re­vealed the re­sults of its top se­cret“Project: Jet­son”ex­per­i­ment, the firstever voice ac­ti­vated ho­tel room us­ing“Hey Siri.”Each Aloft voice-ac­ti­vated room is equipped with an iPad run­ning a cus­tom Aloft app to con­trol the in-room guest ex­pe­ri­ence, with HomeKit-en­abled ac­ces­sories in­clud­ing room tem­per­a­ture, light­ing options and mu­sic. In ad­di­tion, the iPad can be a vir­tual concierge, al­low­ing guests to ex­plore lo­cal at­trac­tions like na­tives. They can also browse the In­ter­net, check the weather and more.

At the end of each stay, all iPads are re­set and all per­sonal pref­er­ences are re­moved from the de­vice. The Siri-equipped rooms are avail­able at Aloft Bos­ton Sea­port and at Aloft Santa Clara.
