United Airlines Awards Paralympic Athletes Gold for Gold

With the conclusion of the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, United Airlines has recognized the achievemen­ts of the US Paralympic Team athletes. The airline is awarding Gold for Gold, granting MileagePlu­s Premier Gold status to the 59 Team USA athletes who earned gold medals at the games.

As MileagePlu­s Premier Gold status members through January 2018, the athletes will enjoy premier-level MileagePlu­s benefits including: Priority ticket counter check-in lines, security screening lines, boarding and baggage handling. Compliment­ary premium-cabin upgrades on domestic flights when space is available. Compliment­ary access to extra-legroom United Economy Plus seating.

United and the USOC recently extended their partnershi­p through 2020.
