United Airlines Awards Par­a­lympic Ath­letes Gold for Gold

With the con­clu­sion of the 2016 Par­a­lympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, United Airlines has rec­og­nized the achieve­ments of the US Par­a­lympic Team ath­letes. The air­line is award­ing Gold for Gold, grant­ing MileagePlus Pre­mier Gold sta­tus to the 59 Team USA ath­letes who earned gold medals at the games.

As MileagePlus Pre­mier Gold sta­tus mem­bers through Jan­uary 2018, the ath­letes will en­joy pre­mier-level MileagePlus ben­e­fits in­clud­ing: Pri­or­ity ticket counter check-in lines, se­cu­rity screen­ing lines, board­ing and bag­gage han­dling. Com­pli­men­tary premium-cabin up­grades on do­mes­tic flights when space is avail­able. Com­pli­men­tary ac­cess to ex­tra-legroom United Econ­omy Plus seat­ing.
