United Airlines Awards Paralympic Athletes Gold for Gold

With the conclusion of the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, United Airlines has recognized the achievements of the US Paralympic Team athletes. The airline is awarding Gold for Gold, granting MileagePlus Premier Gold status to the 59 Team USA athletes who earned gold medals at the games.

As MileagePlus Premier Gold status members through January 2018, the athletes will enjoy premier-level MileagePlus benefits including: Priority ticket counter check-in lines, security screening lines, boarding and baggage handling. Complimentary premium-cabin upgrades on domestic flights when space is available. Complimentary access to extra-legroom United Economy Plus seating.
