New World of Hyatt Rolls Out

-

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is launching a new global loyalty program starting March 1. The new “World of Hyatt” has three tiers – Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist. Members are able to accrue more rewards as they advance through the tiers based on either the number of qualifying nights or on base points.

Discoverist status is reached with ten qualifying nights or 25,000 base points; Explorist with 30 qualifying nights or 50,000 base points; and Globalist with 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 base points. World of Hyatt members accrue five base points for every eligible US dollar spent.

Hotels in each redemption category and the number of points required to redeem free night awards will remain unchanged from the existing Hyatt Gold Passport program.

New benefits include a free night award for staying at five different Hyatt brands, and confirmed suite upgrades when booking for qualifying elite members, in addition to other perks. Members earn benefits – as well as base points – for dining and spa experiences in addition to stays.

The Hyatt Gold Passport program will remain active and members can continue to earn and redeem points until Feb. 28. Meanwhile, beginning Jan. 1, qualifying activity will also count towards earning status in World of Hyatt ahead of its March launch.
