REGENT SHANGHAI PUDONG

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the Regent Shanghai Pudong, the first for the brand since IHG bought a majority stake in Regent Hotels & Resorts in 2018. The hotel had been a Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts property. The InterContinental Hong Kong is also rebranding as a Regent Hotel set to open in 2021. ihg.com

HYATT CHICAGO

Hyatt is set to debut a new dualbranded property this summer in an adaptive reuse of Chicago’s 106-year old Cook County Hospital on the city’s Near West Side. The Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Chicago Medical/ University District hotels in this wonderfully preserved Beaux-Arts landmark feature 210 suites and guestrooms. hyatt.com

INTERCONTINENTAL ROME

IHG has also announced plans to open the Intercontinental Rome in 2022 offering 160 rooms and suites in an existing 19th century palazzo on Via Veneto. The last time the brand was in the Italian capital was 2016 with the InterContinental De La Ville Roma, which is now a Rocco Forte property. hyatt.com

ROSEWOOD YANGON

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the Rosewood Yangon in the expansive colonial-era New Law Courts building constructed in 1927.
