- RUBY TURNER

PIANO is a classy acronym for the Professional Innkeepers Association of New Orleans. It conjures up visions of lively grandeur associated with one of the great music cities of the world with accommodation choices that reflect traditional southern hospitality.

This association comprises over 50 owners of small inns, guest houses and bed and breakfasts throughout the city. All are licensed by the City of New Orleans.

What sets PIANO apart from other booking services is the refined selection of booking categories on its site www.bbnola.com

The online listings provide information that makes it possible to match a guest’s personal interests and needs to a specific accommodation choice.

There are more than 200 rooms listed on the site and PIANO boasts no two are alike.

Houses vary from small homes to large estates within 15 districts spread throughout the city. Locations range from quiet streets with the charm of a small town to the historic mansions in Uptown’s millionaire row and the exciting neighbourhoods of Mid-City, Esplanade Ridge and Treme.

Accommodation choices are listed not only by their location but by the unique interest and knowledge of the owners. Guests wanting to fully experience famous Louisiana cuisine can check out the properties that are listed under the food category.

Not only will there be a special emphasis put on the breakfasts served but the owners will be happy to advise their guests as to where to find markets and specialty restaurants. They can also tell you where to find the best chefs in town. In many cases, they know them personally.
