Family comes first at Eastside Kia

-

When you take your vehicle in for servicing, the last thing you need is to be surprised with a bill for work you never approved.

At Eastside Kia, service customers are treated like family — and the key to a strong family is communication.

“Our motto is ‘Family-Like Care,’” says general manager Kelly Temple. “People love it when they know somebody in the car business, somebody they can trust.

“We want them to know we’ll do our best to diagnose the cause of concern in their vehicle, complete an estimate, explain all the repairs to them — and make our customers feel empowered to make the decision as to what service they want.”

One way Eastside Kia’s service advisers do this is by providing — on paper or via email — a free inspection every time a customer comes in for service. “It shows them the green areas, where nothing is required, and then there may be some areas flagged yellow that don’t have to be done today, but is something coming up down the road,” Temple explains.

“Potentially, there may be red items that have failed and should be done for safety reasons or regular maintenance or improving the fuel efficiency and longevity of the vehicle.”

A 10-bay service department with two-car drive-thru awaits customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing. The department was recently renovated with new flooring and new service podiums.

Service customers also have access to a convenient shuttle service.

“A lot of the stuff we do is regular maintenance,” says Temple. “Kia has a five-year, 100,000-kilometre comprehensive warranty that literally covers everything in the vehicle.”

Eastside’s parts department has all major Kia parts in stock, so customers won’t have to wait. It also carries a full line of Kia accessories, from chrome packages to running boards.

“We have one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings for Kia in Western Canada,” says Temple. “And recently, service adviser Jeff Penner was nominated for a Calgary White Hat Award for customer service. He was one of the very first people from the automotive field ever to be nominated.”

Bringing a vehicle in for servicing at a dealership such as Eastside Kia helps customers avoid the surprises that can happen if they take a car into an independent service provider, adds Temple.

“It might be cheaper to get an oil change done, but they may give you a laundry list of upgrades they want you to buy that are often more expensive than the local dealership,” he says.

Eastside Kia is southern Alberta’s highestvolume Kia dealership and is celebrating the Early Arrival Event this month, offering no-interest financing for up to 84 months, discounts of up to $6,350, and employee pricing.

Eastside Kia, a proud member of the McManes Automotive Group, is located at 2256 23rd St. N.E. For more information, call 403-250-2502 or visit eastsidekia.ca where you can watch video tours of the dealership.
