Reckless law
Re: “Bill C- 51 chalk protest,” March 27.
I’m not sure when Canadians lost control of their government, but if I’m going to live under Bill C- 51, then I may as well move south and enjoy the warmer weather of the Patriot Act.
The government wants to make spying and surveillance on its citizens a law under the auspices of protection? Protection from what? Maybe we should be more worried about the persecution of our individualism and independent thinking.
What good will come from allowing the government to spy on our lives? How about we focus on building a community of inclusion, education and respect? Bill C- 51 is a reckless and poorly thoughtout idea and I want nothing to do with it. Dave Taillefer, Calgary
