Re: “Mental illness doesn’t change people’s morals,” Naomi Lakritz, Opinion, April 4.

I disagree it was homicide. Many mentally ill persons, including those suffering from depression, are living normal lives like Germanwing­s’ unfortunat­e co- pilot Andreas Lubitz did.

I don’t think he planned to kill 149 people.

The human brain is a very strange organ; in a split second sometimes, it commands a mentally ill person to do terrible things.

I blame the airline that in spite of indication­s about his mental health, hired Lubitz to do such an important job. Anwar Sultan, Calgary
