A big month for new home parades

1. EVANSTON

The most show homes to open in one of Qualico’s communitie­s is now 22. That’s the number Evanston scheduled to open this month. The northwest Calgary community has new move-up options from the $500,000s, starters stepping in from the $430,000s and duplexes in the $390,000s. While many of the show homes are already open, a launch event to celebrate all 22 models is set for May 30. Bringing on the show homes are a seasoned builder group comprising Trico Homes, Sterling Homes, Jayman Master Built, Broadview Homes, Nu Vista Homes, Innovation­s by Jayman and Pacesetter by Sterling Homes.

2. SYMONS GATE

Northwest Calgary has a new community and it introduced itself with a six-model show home parade. The show homes are now open but will be shown off during a launch event May 23. Symons Gate is the latest master-planned community by Brookfield Residentia­l, which is the developer behind Auburn Bay, Cranston, New Brighton and McKenzie Towne. Its first show homes are of the move-up variety and feature builders Jayman Master Built, Morrison Homes and Brookfield. Morrison’s are its 2,310-square-foot Arlington III model and the 2,491-square-foot Henderson. For Jayman, it’s the 2,395-square-foot Buckingham floor plan and the Emerge, which is 2,505 square feet. Brookfield’s are the Hudson, which is 2,153 square feet and the 2,024-squarefoot Stockton floor plan.

3. BAYSIDE PIER 11

Turn to Airdrie for move-up homes in a community featuring peaceful canals and expansive green space. Bayside Pier 11 is a community on Airdrie’s west side by Genesis Land Developmen­t Corp. The company’s builder division brought on a three-piece show home parade this month. The homes include its 1,963-square-foot Bella Vista Model, which starts from $469,000 and the 2,261-squarefoot Avalon from $510,000. There’s also the Ambassador, which is 2,432 square feet and starts from $530,000. The Avalon and Bella Vista are in a three bedroom and two-and-a-half bathroom orientatio­n while the Ambassador comes with four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Genesis also has two quick-possession homes in the community, with its Eden Corner and Mardan models.

4. LEGACY

The three stars of the previous move-up show home parade in Legacy are back, joined by more builders in the segment. Calbridge Homes, Stepper Custom Homes and Sterling Homes have returned with two show homes each in a lineup on Legacy Lane. Trico Homes has added a move-up home of its own near a community pond on Legacy Boulevard. Sterling’s are the 2,153-square-foot Auburn 4 and the Beaumont, which is 2,393 square feet. Stepper brings in the 2,085-square-foot Conrad, which was featured in the first show home parade. Its other model is the Bowen, which is 2,333 square feet. Calbridge unveiled its 2,152-square-foot Daytona 2 and the Carrera, which is 2,145 square feet. Meanwhile, Trico moves in with the 2,455-square-foot Kennedy III.

5. RANCHERS’ RISE

An Okotoks community masterplan­ned by Bordeaux Developmen­ts brought on its first show home parade in three years. Five move-up homes have been added to the landscape in Ranchers’ Rise. The parade features models by Baywest Homes, Sterling Homes and Wolverine Custom Homes. Sterling’s show homes are the 2,518-square-foot Berkshire 2 and the Beaumont 2, which is 2,694 square feet. Both models are available in either a three bedroom or four bedroom offering, but the Berkshire 2 is displayed with three bedrooms and the Beaumont 2 with four. Baywest’s are the 2,367-squarefoot Makena and the Aria, which measures 2,596 square feet. Both have three bedrooms and twoand-a-half bathrooms. The largest of the show homes is Wolverine’s Atlantic floor plan, covering 3,728 square feet.
