Video maker sues over Muslim ads

-

The maker of a documentary about American Muslim comedians has sued the operator of New York City subways after its ads were rejected. The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Manhattan federal court against the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. New York- based video production company Vaguely Qualified Productions seeks unspecified damages and an order allowing the display of advertisements promoting the 2013 film The Muslims Are Coming! The advertisements were created by two Muslim comedians. The lawsuit says the ads were set to run in April and May but were rejected after the MTA changed its advertising policies to ban political ads. The lawsuit says the ads are not political.
