Cheaper up north

-

Re: “Greed and gall” and “Feeling gouged,” Letters, Aug. 18.

I filled up with premium gas in Edmonton last Sunday. I paid $ 1.23 a litre.

Upon returning to Calgary Monday, I filled up and paid $ 1.37. Gas always seems to be 10 cents cheaper there, but now it’s 14 cents cheaper. Come on!

What refinery does Edmonton get its gas from? It apparently isn’t the same one that supplies Calgary.

This adds to the insult of having such high prices with oil sitting at a historic low of $ 42 US a barrel. Sue Watch, Calgary
