Construction has begun on Auburn Station, an 84,000-square-foot southeast Calgary shopping centre to include a Calgary Co-op grocery store as its anchor.

Brookfield Residential Alberta is developing the property at Au- burn Meadows Drive S.E. and 52nd Street, where Co-op will also open a Wine Spirits and Beer store and a gas bar.

The Auburn Bay neighbourhood was launched in 2005. According to the City of Calgary’s census, in 2014, about 11,000 people live in Auburn Bay.

Auburn Bay is expected to be completed by 2018.

Auburn Station will be located adjacent to the future Auburn Bay LRT Station on the planned Green line.

Construction of Auburn Station is expected to be completed by fall 2016.
