Buyer: Daniel Rieder, a 29-year-old Calgary cost control analyst for a midstream oil and gas company.

What He Bought: A one bedroom unit in Smith, the Grosvenor project in the southwest inner city Beltline neighbourhood. It is the second Grosvenor condo he has purchased; he currently lives in a two-bedroom unit in Drake.

Why He Bought: Lifestyle. While he owns a car that he uses to go play golf or hockey, he walks everywhere else. He has a 15-minute walk to work, and a short walk to the river valley and to 17th Avenue S.W. with its trendy restaurants and coffee shops.

Move In: The end of 2016.
