Sunfest on Saturday in Inglewood

-

Food trucks, dance troupes, street performers and a vintage car show are set to return to Inglewood on Saturday. The annual Sunfest will take place on 9th Avenue S.E. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Events will include a kid zone with bounce houses, trampolines, magic shows and face-painting, a pie-eating contest and live music. Attendees can stop for a pint in the Village Brewery beer garden (which stays open until 8 p.m.), wander the area’s shops and restaurants, or stake out a spot on a local patio. Residents can also catch a glimpse of some of the performers that will take part in the Calgary Fringe Festival. Sunfest is part of the kickoff for the 2016 festival, which will feature theatre and entertainment at venues around Inglewood from July 29 to Aug. 6. The free event typically draws about 30,000.
