It’s the premiere of the network’s new three-hour morning program that promises a fresh, new conversation with Canadians. Hosts Ben Mulroney and AnneMarie Mediwake will welcome Tristan Thompson, Brian Williams, Serena Ryder and Evan Solomon in the show’s first week to discuss everything from Rio 2016 and rock music, to winning an NBA title and politics. There will also be sneak peeks of interviews with literary icon Margaret Atwood, country music legend Dolly Parton and pro skateboarder Tony Hawk. Monday’s premiere features a live fan event headlined by superstar country duo Florida Georgia Line. (CTV)

TLC’s first scripted series is this new eight-episode drama from Tyler Perry, which follows a young woman named Anna (Danielle Savre) as she is forced to return to her profoundly misnamed hometown of Happy, Ala., following a Washington, D.C., scandal that cuts short her promising political career. Almost immediately she gets sucked back into unwanted drama with her dysfunctional family, as well as unfinished business with her high school beau (Brock O’Hurn). (TLC)

Lawyer Maya Cobbina (Sophie Okonedo) conducts an extended legal fight to prove the innocence of an American death-row inmate, Rudy Jones (Dennis Haysbert), and her husband Nick Johnson (Adrian Lester) in this new sixpart drama series. Derek Riddell, Vincent Regan, Tamara Lawrance and Daniel Ezra also star. (CBC)

As Terry (Taye Diggs) continues struggling to do damage control and repair his relationship with Hildy (Kathleen Robertson), the partners try desperately to collect evidence on their new prime suspect in the new episode Daddy Dearest. Elsewhere, Siletti’s (Currie Graham) chances of avoiding prison time shrink sharply after the prosecution produces an emotional witness whose heart-wrenching testimony clearly resonates with the jury.
