Unplanned landing for Calgary-Chicago flight
Fears of a mechanical problem diverted a SkyWest flight to Spokane after it had left Calgary on Monday morning. The EMB 175 carrying 81 passengers and crew was bound for Chicago’s O’Hare Airport when its operators were issued warning signs onboard, said Hanna Hansen, a spokeswoman for the United Airlines regional carrier. “SkyWest Flight 5896 United Express landed safely in Spokane after diverting due to mechanical indications,” she said. “They landed due to an abundance of precaution.” No one was injured.
