Halloween hauntings come to Heritage Park

- MICHELE JARVIE mjarvie@postmedia.com

Trick-or-treating is usually reserved for the kids.

But Heritage Park has an adultsonly Halloween event this year for those who dare.

Ghosts and Gourmet returns for three spirited nights, beginning Oct. 31.

It all begins with creepy cocktails in the Wainwright Hotel, followed by an autumn-inspired threecourse dinner.

Afterwards, brave the darkened streets for a behind-the-scenes ghost tour of the rumoured haunted buildings of Heritage Park.

Hear about the ghosts of miners that haunt the Canmore Opera House.

Or, perhaps you’ll see the lights come on in the third floor of the Prince House, despite there being no electricity up there.

Or the woman in the flowing white dress tending a baby in the nursery who has been seen by a few park visitors.

The guided walking tours are based on personal encounters and eerie stories from staff and guests both past and present.

More information is available on the Heritage Park website.
