From sea to shining prairie

Alberta’s landlocked geography makes the province an unlikely home for a celebration of Canada’s Navy, but there are an estimated 3,000 retired sailors in Alberta. Navy Days, which run Saturday and Sunday at The Military Museums, is a chance to honour these veterans (who receive free admission), check out large-scale models of the HMCS Huron and Nipigon, and purchase memorabilia.
