24: Legacy
A spinoff of the clock-ticking action drama 24 debuts tonight, with the episode 12:00 Noon -1:00 PM. Plopped in a sweet post- Super Bowl time slot, it stars Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, The Walking Dead) as war hero Eric Carter. He returns to the U.S. with a target on his back, and asks the Counter Terrorist Unit to save his life and stop an impending terrorist attack. Miranda Otto plays Rebecca Ingram, the head of the CTU. The original star of 24, Kiefer Sutherland, is listed as an executive producer on 24: Legacy. (Fox, City)

In A Little Bit Stronger, Rayna ( Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) enhance their home security after Rayna’s encounter with Carl Hockney (Linds Edwards). Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) becomes closer to her guardian angel and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) starts performing again. This season, the show’s fifth overall and first on CMT, saw the introduction of two characters: Grammywinning banjo player and singer Rhiannon Giddens, and the first out transgender actor on a CMT series, Jen Richards. Season 2 of CBC’s competition show dips its brush in the palette tonight. In each episode, three artists take on timed challenges that reveal their creative processes in mediums including traditional paint and canvas, graffiti, sculpture and mosaic. There’s no cash prize. A rambunctious audience decides the winner. The premiere, titled Road Trip Triptych, sees the competitors tackle a triptych — a picture or relief carving set side by side on three panels. Sean O’Neill, an associate director at the Art Gallery of Ontario, is host. (CBC)
GAYCATION
The travel series exploring LGBTQ cultures around the world re-airs its Ukraine episode tonight. Ellen Page and her best friend, Ian Daniel, visit the country two years after a revolution. It’s followed by instalments travelling to India, France and the Deep South in the U.S. Gaycation was recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the category of outstanding reality program, and snagged an Emmy nomination last year.
