SUITE LIFE AT SMITH
Range of options offered
There are three new reasons to visit Smith, an elegant tower by Grosvenor and Rennie Marketing Systems, just off 17th Avenue.
It recently launched a trio of new show suites on the ninth floor of the 18-storey building. They represent a range of sizes and configurations, though there are others to choose from.
The show suites start with the H Plan, where a junior one-bedroom is 498 square feet with an efficient use of the space.
These units have a 75-squarefoot balcony — enough for a barbecue and table for two.
The G Plan has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 855 square feet. This corner unit provides a front entrance foyer that maintains the unit’s privacy before opening up into the kitchen and living space. The secondary bedroom is a stunning corner room, with walls of windows on two sides.
The C Plan, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, doesn’t waste a single bit of its 1,055 square feet. Each bedroom is paired up with a bathroom — the secondary bedroom has a walk-through closet access to the main bathroom, while the master bedroom has its own ensuite, with shower, soaker tub and dual sink vanity. The master bedroom has a separate walk-in closet.
A key feature to this unit is the kitchen. A long island is oriented so the chef has a view of the dining area and living room out to the balcony. The slightly lowered bulkhead above the kitchen helps define the space and gives it a cosy, behind-the-scenes feeling, even with its front-row view of the social space.
The back of the kitchen holds cabinets, a Fulgor gas range with an oversized fifth burner (think wok or pasta water pot) and a Fisher Paykel refrigerator in stainless steel. The island, topped with a polished quartz slab, holds the double sink, dishwasher and microwave.
Smith offers a variety of home sizes, from studio to three-bedroom. Along with concierge service, the building offers car detailing, key service, package storage, dry cleaning, a bike share service and a tool library.
