Two people found dead in city’s southeast

Calgary police are investigat­ing after two people were found dead in the city’s southeast Tuesday evening.

Police say at about 7:30 p.m., they were called to a business at 19th Avenue by 35th Street S.E.

When officers arrived, they found two deceased people.

“The Calgary Police Service is currently investigat­ing a possible suspicious death,” Acting Det. Antoinette McIntyre said.

McIntyre said homicide detectives are investigat­ing and more details will be released when they become available.

An area around an auto service business, including a travel trailer, was cordoned of with crime-scene tape Tuesday evening as ofcers investigat­ed.

A woman who lives across the street said she was shocked to hear the news of the deaths.

“That’s kind of scary,” said Sarah Gurdivaniu­k.

“I’m shocked to know that there’s two people found dead.”
