Star Trek series to première in fall

At long last, CBS has set a première date for Star Trek: Discovery. The TV series will debut Sept. 24. Subsequent episodes will only be available in the U.S. on CBS All Access, which isn’t available in Canada. Instead, Canadians can watch the première Sept. 24 on CTV and Space; the second episode follows immediatel­y only on Space. New episodes will then air Sundays on Space, Space.ca, Space Go and On Demand. The series will also stream on CraveTV; dates for that streaming service will be announced in the coming weeks. The 15-episode season of Star Trek: Discovery will air in two parts: The first eight episodes will run from Sept. 24 through Nov. 5. The season will resume in January 2018.
