Police ID homicide victim as son faces charges
Authorities have now officially identified the victim in the domestic homicide of a Calgary father, whose body was discovered at an Okotoks construction site Monday.
The remains of Mohamed Jasim Al Aalak, 53, were discovered Monday at the site near the gates of an Okotoks golf course.
Police believe he died following a violent altercation at a home belonging to his son in the community of Acadia.
Zaineddin Al Aalak was charged earlier this week with second-degree murder and with committing an indignity to a body.
The 21-year-old made a brief court appearance Thursday, where the case was put over for another month.
