Nov. 18: Christmas Charity Bazaar at Robert McClure United Church, 5510 — 26 Ave N.E. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Highlights include an 11:30 a.m. fashion show featuring the “WorldServe Thrift Store,” unique gifts, handmade crafts, bake tables, pie orders, perogies and cabbage roll sales. All proceeds from this event will be donated to charities. In lieu of admission, non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Emergency Food Pantry. Nov. 19: At 10:30 a.m., Community Organizing, The Story and Possibilit­y. The potential for collaborat­ive justice work and contributi­ng to systemic change are at the heart of community organizing. Ryan Anderson is the lead organizer for the Metro Alliance for the Common Good (MACG), which brings together organizati­ons and communitie­s of Calgary to transform our city into a community, which respects all.
