Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson always travels with a top-of-the-range mobile gym.

The former professional wrestler has become one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars in recent years, showing off his muscles in action films such as San Andreas and the Baywatch remake.

When questioned over how he keeps so buff during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night, which was guest-hosted by Bryan Cranston, Johnson revealed that he is never far from his personal gym setup.

“Training in public gyms just became too much of a crazy zoo,” he said. “So, everywhere I go, including Hawaii (where he filmed new movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), it travels with me. It eliminates excuses.”

Johnson explained that he has a big crew to collect and set up his heavy workout equipment on location. While shifting the machines requires a large amount of effort, he swears it’s worth it for his mental and physical well-being.

“For me, it becomes my anchor. I’m up at four or five o’clock in the morning before I go to work and I get my training in; it becomes my sense of meditation,” the 45-yearold shared.

During the interview, host Cranston congratulated Johnson on the news that his girlfriend Lauren Hashian is expecting a baby girl, a sibling for their 23-month-old daughter Jasmine. And the star, who is also father to Simone, 16, from his marriage to former wife Dany Garcia, who remains his manager, stated that he couldn’t wait to be a father of three daughters.

“It’s a wonderful thing. I can do it all, I can do the nails, I can do the tea parties. I’m extremely empathetic, I can do all that,” he said, laughing.
