January 14: 10:30 a.m. Prophetic Women: A Journey into Our Unitarian Past. Explore the trail blazing prophetic women in our Unitarian tradition. Women like Mary Wollstonec­raft, who wrote The Vindicatio­n of the Rights of Women in 1792 and Emily Jennings Stowe (18311903), Canada’s first woman physician. We will honour the women who were 18th and 19th century social justice activists in the struggle for women’s education, political and economic rights and who raised their voices in a call to justice for all. January 21: 10:30 a.m. Grief and Lament. This second in the “Rediscover­ing the Commons” service series recognizes the need for public expression of grief at the ways things are, releases energy to empower forward action. Presenter: Rev.
